Savastano Pear Cake

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 1 1/2 to 2 hours

Serves: 6-8

 

Equipment:

Your Favorite Knife

Cutting Board

Sifter

Measuring spoons

Whisk

Baking pan

Oven (of course)

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 c wesson oil  
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla ( or more)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon (or more)
  • 3 c diced pears
  • 1 c chopped pecans (or more)

 

Heat oven to 300 degrees.  Grease tube pan.

Beat eggs & sugar.  Add oil - beat till mixed.  Add dry ingredents a little at the time.  Beat.  Mixture will be very thick.  Stir in pears & nuts. Pour into pan. Bake 1 1/2 h to 2 hours.
