Basic Grassfed Beef Burger
1 lb grassfed beef
Couple pinches cumin
Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Sautee onion in coconut oil, lard, or butter. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, including sauteed onions. Form into 1/4 lb or 1/2 lb patties.
To Grill: Preheat grill on high for 10 minutes (temp close to 500). Put burgers on grill, about 5 minutes first side and 3 minutes second side. Vary time to change doneness.
In skillet: Preheat oven to 500. Put cast iron skillet in oven to preheat. When pan is very hot, place burger in skillet, turn oven down to 350. Cook for 3 minutes per side. Change time to effect doneness.
